What Deedbox is
Deedbox is a record-keeping and reminder service for landlords. It helps you track compliance dates, store documents and keep tax records. It is not legal, tax or financial advice, and it does not hold or handle rent, deposits or any other money on your behalf.
What you're responsible for
Meeting your legal obligations remains yours. Our reminders are a help, not a guarantee — you are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for acting on what we tell you.
Where we cover
Our compliance rules currently cover England. If your property is in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, Deedbox is not yet suitable and we will not pretend otherwise.
Free month and payment
Your first month is free and we do not take card details to start it. At the end of it, you choose a plan to carry on. If you don't, the app locks — but we never delete your data and your export keeps working.
Your data
Your records stay yours. You can export everything at any time. We do not sell your data to third parties. We may contact you about our own products and features, and you can turn that off.
Tenant information
Where you store tenant details, you remain the data controller for them and we act on your instructions. Keep only what the law requires you to keep, and for no longer than you need it.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time, from your account. There is no minimum term and no exit fee.
